    1. Another adventure off to a good start.Prince Darren, along with Larten Crepsley and Harkat Mulds, are sent off on a special mission to hunt the Vampaneze Lord by Mr. Tiny.I really enjoy Darren as a main character. It will be interesting to see where the other takes things as the story progresses. As with the other stories in the series, the book is well written, and has no ending. I'll have to read the next book in the series to continue the plot started in this book. Which is one of my biggest [...]

    2. When a friend of mine recommended a young adult series to me about vampires I was a little hesitant. Thinking back a few years to the time I tried many vampire series friends of mine loved I almost lost interest completely. But I trusted this friend and decided to check it out. I could always stop reading after the first book. I was relieved to see that this book didn’t look like any of the other vampire books I tried to read so I didn’t have come up with an excuse why I couldn’t read this [...]

    3. Nothing like opening a book in a series and finding out it’s skipped forward…by six years. Yes, six years. Hear me sigh in irritation. The last book left off with a stunning revelation, but we’ve skipped forward now. Once I got past that annoying development, the story continues to demand my attention. Darren hasn’t seemed to think or tend to the views of the former traitor he was considering before (peace treaties), and while not enjoying killing, does it with more natural ease when it [...]

    4. So Evanna turned out to be a traitor. Kind of. :/Pretty school character additions. Vancha is pretty badass. Feel bad for him having to battle his brother. But the whole hand to hand is pretty cool. Evanna is awesome too. Her frogs freak me out a bit, but I kinda wish I had some. Oh, and I like her back story. It would be weird being made by Mr. Tiny. Oh, and Mr. Tiny. He's so not my favorite person right now, but he always brings big news. You know people are going to be scrambling when he's do [...]

    5. This book in the series is very much focused around the larger plot related to the twelve books. Whilst some of the previous books were focused more upon Darren’s experiences this one brings us back to the war which is going on.After being visited by a character from one of the past books, our main characters find themselves at the Cirque once again. Here events are not quite what they once seemed, with questionable motives in the air. Our characters find out that completing the mission that t [...]

ا. شربیانی

    7. Six years have passed since The Vampire Prince and the vampires are at war with the vampaneze. Along comes Mr. Tiny, bearing an ominous look into the future. Darren, Mr. Crepsley, and Harkat Mulds are dispatched on a mission to do the impossible; find and kill the Lord of the vampaneze. If they should fail, the destruction of the vampire world will be on their hands.PlotThough I found the overall plot of Hunters of the Dusk boring, I’m glad I didn’t have to sit through the six years that Dar [...]

    8. I found myself having to really persist with this book, the pace of it seemed very slow compared to the past books and the story a tad boring and stale at times.I did however quite enjoy the last quarter of the book, even though it was very obvious apart from one point which was quite refreshing. An overall mediocre read in my opinion.

Though Shan always does a nice job of quickly and sufficiently recapping the plot, it’d be best not to start here. Go back and begin with A Living Nightmare. And be warned that this review will contain spoilers for previous books. It’s been six years since the events of The Vampire Prince. Young Darren Shan is now one of the leaders of the vampires [...]

    10. As Darren holds the spot of vampire price since he was supposed to be sentenced to hall of death for running away from his trials but was voted by the vampires to become prince wich was the only solution other than death. Comes a well expected vsit by all vampires, Desmond Tiny who is hated by the vampires made a prophecy talking about the Vampaneze Lord and a great war. The Vampaneze Lord is alive and traveling the world. Now, it's up to Darren Shan, Mr. Crepsley and a the Vampire Prince Vancha [...]

    11. Darren Shan, now a Vampire of high standing, is sent on a mission along with an Elite Squad to eliminate the threat of the murderous Vampaneze and their Lord. Will Darren succeed, and if he does, will it have been worth it? Expanding on the books before it, “ Hunters of the Dusk” might seem like a good book at first. It has action, as well as a fairly interesting plot. However, the problem in the last book has not been fixed. Darren Shan, a mere, young, half-vampire, is chosen by an agent o [...]

    12. Darren Shan had gone back to Vampire Mountain after he ran away from being put to the Halls of Death. He had became a prince when he went back to Vampire Mountain. Him, Mr.Crepsley, and another vamipre had to go and stop the vampaneze lord. They wanted to go and kill the vampaneze lord before he comes to takes over the vampire clan. So Darren and the other vampires have to go and stop the vampaneze lord before he gets fully blooded. But, only the 3 vampires and anything besides vampires could go [...]

    13. Mr. Tiny tells Mr. Crepsley and Darren that they have to go find the Vampaneze Lord and kill him, and that only them and one other vampire that they will find later can kill him. Darren and Mr. Crepsley go to find the other vampire, so they start searching. They find Vancha March, the third vampire. All three of them want to find the Vampaneze Lord, but they don't know where to start, so they just follow their instincts. Then, they do find him, and while trying to kill him, they killed all the V [...]

    14. This was definitely another one of the filler books. Even though this was longer than the last two, not much happened. All they did was start their journey to find the vampanze lord (view spoiler)[ and missed him(hide spoiler)]It was nice to back at the Cirque Du Freak and see how they've changed. I really like how the author used Evra growing up to really show how much time has passed (view spoiler)[ He married with kids!!(hide spoiler)]The best part of this book was the introduction of Lady Ev [...]

    15. This book is another book that is about the vampire Darren. He has become more mature and he has gained new friends that have stuck with him since he became the vampire he is now. He is now stronger then ever because of his mentor Mr Crepsly. I can connect this book to the world because it shows that once you have someone to guide you, you will be able to accomplish what ever you want to do. In the world there are many people who like to help others with there future.I rate this book 4 and 1/2 s [...]

    16. Hunters of the Dusk was most definitely the least interesting of the series thus far, which is upsetting since it's supposed to be drawing closer to the huge finale. Nevertheless, I did find myself enjoying the snippets of information that were littered every so often about Harkat's previous form! I believe he was maybe the brother to Evanna… I'm also pretty sure that the Vampeneze Lord is Steve Leopard/Leonard — since that would make perfect sense!

    17. This book is about vampirers trying to fight the vanpaneze. They even have vanpaneze pets to go out for them to find out where the vanpirers are trying to hide from them. And the vampaneze pets go back and tell the vampaneze where the vampires are thats if they can even find the vampires. the vampires and the vampaneze are always fighting. The vampires are usually always beating the vampaneze in their fights that they have. I think they choose darren to be prince.

    18. Darren is now the prince and have quests to do, it is just the beginning. The author made it very fun by adding thoughts, I like reading their thoughts and 'watching' their actions. It's pretty exciting when they are fighting their enemies. Everyone should try this book out, continue with the next book! I can't stop reading the series because their too FUN!!!

    19. I love this series and I can only imagine what I will do when I'm finished it. I can't really say anything without giving anything away. All I can say though is it will surprise you. I am so glad I got Devin, Courtney, Zack, Daniel and maybe Mr.C reading this series. I hope they all love it as much as I do, and as always I can't wait to start the next one!

    20. I stayed up pretty late to finish this book and it was worth it. Darren always seems to have this 'vampire luck' while afterwards it seems that it wasn't much like luck at all. I love how short these books all are though

    21. خود کتاب رو دوست دارم. کلاً دارن باحال مینویسه 0_0 نکته هایی هم بود ک میخواسم بگم ک الان یادم نیس o:-)

    22. “He fled to save the life of the man he was protecting -the fake servant- the…” Imagine that you have been stuck in a mountain for six years serving as a vampire prince, working with generals to defeat your enemies, the vampaneze. One day, out of the blue, you have been chosen to defeat the vampaneze by taking out their lord. If you don't hunt, you and every vampire in existence will die. If you do, you risk dying, or living to see the world fall apart. Either way, each sides will shed tea [...]

    23. The Cirque Du Freak series is perfect for those wanting something darker than a normal YA book, while not going off the deep end. In the middle of the War of Scars, Darren learns that he is one of three that must search out the Vampaneze Lord and kill him in order to save all the vampires. That's a lot for a half-vampire to deal with, especially one dealing with some growing pains. I appreciate that while the series is chronological, there are some years that are completely skipped over. The boo [...]

    24. Darren Shan is now a Vampire Prince yay! He has responsibilities and has to command many vampires into combat. Not much has happened in this book from my perspective. I found out that Mr. Tall and Evanna are the offspring of the first vampire and Mr. Tiny from what I can remember. So I suppose that would just make those two siblings. Vancha March is finally introduced into this book and we come to find out that he used to be a Vampaneeze, and so is his brother. Yes he has a Vampaneeze brother. Y [...]

    25. It took me a while to get used to the six year time jump but once I'd gotten over it I started to really enjoy the book. I was glad they left Vampire Mountain, I like it a lot more when the characters are on the move. There were a lot of interesting things set up for almost every character in this book too. My favourite part though was (view spoiler)[the return to the Cirque du Freak and meeting Evra again! I got so emotional when he and Darren reunited and then again when they all parted ways. [...]

    26. Another great installment to this great series A little slower at times than the others but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. Finishing this one is bitter sweet, I am happy to have read it but saddened because I do not know when I will be able to get the next one. I guess I should learn to take my time.

    27. This series have cursed me, I think🤔I can't stop reading unless I finish one bookst night I stayed up late to finish this book, even though I had to study😅This series is really really fascinating, magical, interesting, attractive,.rats, Mr. Shan!

    28. this series is getting so good. I was kind of annoyed that they did ANOTHER time skip. But seeing darren mature is pretty great. I loved the addition of the extra vampire prince in their hunting party. And I thought the way the vampanese hid the lord in plain sight was brilliant. Im definitely ready to find out who the lord is.And I cant believe darren made that comment about harkat being a prince in his former life. that definitely means he WAS a vampire prince. so im really curious to see whic [...]
